City of Le Mars Engineering Department

In November of 1989 the City Council of Le Mars authorized the establishment of a City Engineering Department. Previous to this all the Engineering work for the city was handled by Private Consulting Engineering firms retained on a monthly basis to perform the Engineering needs of the City.The Engineering Department for the City of Le Mars consists of three full time employees that designs, bids, contract administrates, and oversees in excess of $2.5 Million of public improvements annually along with providing daily technical assistance for all other departments of the city.
