Floyd Valley Hospital
Floyd Valley Hospital is a city owned, critical access hospital for the residents of le Mars and the surronding area: 4 levels of care (observation, acute, skilled and extended), 24-hour emergency care, surgical services including endoscopy, CAP certified Laboratory, radiology including CT and MRI, chemotherapy, cardiac rehabilitation, obstetrics, cardio-pulmonary, home care services including public health, and physical, occupational and speech therapy. Transfer to tertiary care facilities is available by ambulance and medical airlift.

The hospital’s active medical staff consists of 12 physicians. In addition, a courtesy staff of 59 physicians also provides services to the hospital. Specialty clinics include: audiology, cardiology, ENT (ear, nose & throat), general surgery, nephrology, occupational medicine, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, urology, and WOC nursing care.

The Floyd Valley Hospital medical campus includes the hospital, medical professional office building (Medical Associates, PC family practice; Dr. Charles Keenen, Podiatrist; and Avera Home Medical Equipment of Floyd Valley Hospital) and Park Place Estates Assisted Living facility. Floyd Valley Hospital is owned by the City of Le Mars and affiliated with the Avera Health System of South Dakota.
