Foster Park

Centrally located in Le Mars, Foster Park and the surrounding neighborhood were officially recognized as a historic district by the National Register of Historic Places on April 25th, 2008. This is a rare honor afforded only to the most historically and architecturally significant neighborhoods in Iowa and across the nation.
A variety of community events are held here each
year, starting with Art in the Park during the Le Mars’ Ice Cream
Days celebration every June. The carousel gazebo is the stage
for the Le Mars Municipal Band which plays on Wednesday evenings and
a beautiful backdrop for wedding ceremonies held there throughout
the summer months.
