Le Mars, Iowa Odd/Even parking ordinance
in effect from November 1st
to April 1st
Residents must park on the odd numbered side of the street (where house numbers are odd) on odd calendar days and the even numbered side of the street on even calendar days.
The calendar day begins at 6 p.m. the previous day and ends at 6 p.m. the day of.
As an example, on an odd numbered day, after 6 p.m. people should park on the even numbered side of the street. To clarify, after 6pm, you park for the following day.
Tickets may be issued when a snow emergency is declared.
Snow emergencies will be announced via KLEM radio, the local access channel, Sioux City television stations and via the NIXLE neighborhood information service. Registration for Nixle is free.
Odd/even parking runs from Nov. 1 to April 1.
