care of the rest! Tour package
prices are all inclusive
(taxes, tips, admission and
guide fees). There will
be no additional charges. Payment
can be made with one check
made out to the Le Mars Area
Chamber of Commerce and they
reimburse each attraction you
visit. An itemized itinerary
and/or price list is available
upon request.
Additionally,
a guide will accompany your
group throughout your excursion
to provide directional assistance,
maintain schedules, answer
questions and to act as your
Le Mars Ambassador for the
day. Their job is to ensure
that your trip to Le Mars is
hassle-free...and fun, too!

Package #1 : The Ice Cream Capital Dairy Industry Tour
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tour Itinerary
Get “up close and personal” with the dairy industry and Wells’ Dairy, makers of Blue Bunny® branded ice cream and novelties. You will find this tour package an “udderly” delightful way to spend the day in the “Ice Cream Capital of the World®”, Le Mars, Iowa.
Founded in Le Mars in 1913, Wells’ Dairy, Inc., is the reason for Le Mars’ unique moniker. More ice cream is produced in Le Mars, Iowa, by a single company than anyother one location in the world!
This tour package gives your group the opportunity to tour the Ice Cream Capital of the World® Visitor Center museum with 4th Generation Wells' Dairy family member, Anderw Daniel Wells, enjoy sundaes at the vintage-themed Blue Bunny® Ice Cream Parlor, take a guided bus tour of the Wells’ Dairy Blue Bunny® facilities, and even travel to Plymouth Dairy Farms, a 2,500 head-Holstein dairy, to view the milking process first-hand.
If you are wishing to offer your group an agricultural/industrial tour that is both entertaining, educational and (dare we say it???) a little “moo-ving”, consider the Wells’ Dairy and the Dairy Industry Tour package. This all-inclusive package comes complete with a tour guide ambassador,lunch, ice cream, and even a gift package for each guest. Learn all this and more
as you are taken through the colorful
history of our "spritely city" which
not only used to be one of the most
popular American vacation destinations
in England in the late 1800s, but in
the 1890 census, was listed as the
fastest growing city in Iowa.
Your day will include
stops at the Plymouth County Historical
Museum, an historic bus tour of Le
Mars, an outing a guided tour of the
Pioneer Village and Round Barn followed
by a tour of the Ice Cream Capital
of the World® Visitor Center Museum
and sundaes at the Blue Bunny® Ice
Cream Parlor.
This tour package of
history, heritage and 'heaps' of ice
cream does include a Welcome Reception
featuring rolls and coffee, juice or
