A native of St. Cloud, MN, In 1975, Mike enlisted in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. After completing Hospital Corps School, he was assigned to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD where he completed the courses necessary to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University. After being commissioned in 1978, Donlin then began serving in a series of military hospitals, mostly on the east coast, where he completed a 22 year career in June of 1998.
In July 1998, Mike became the Administrator of Floyd Valley Hospital (now Floyd Valley Healthcare). Late in 2018, Mike retired from service at Floyd Valley, but remains active in various community service oriented activities including the Le Mars Area Dialysis Services, Le Mars Area Betterment Foundation, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, to name a few.
Mike joined the Le Mars City Council (At-Large) in January, 2020.
